Coworkers and Friends

 

I have colleagues and senior coworkers who have been like friends to me for almost 20 years.

We get together for dinner once every three months or so, reminiscing about the times we worked together and catching up on each other's lives.

cf) We were there for two weeks or so. We dated for a year or so.

We often talk about a former boss who used to scare us and make our jobs difficult.

A new department had just been formed back then.

We went through a lot★ and often had to work through the night.

We also worked weekends all the time.

I spent my 20s and 30s with these people, and we are now in our 40s and 50s.

Time truly flies★.

As our gatherings come to an end, we always raise our glass one last time, wishing for our friendship to last forever.

1. Describe your relationship with your coworkers. How well do you get along?

I'm trying to get along with all my coworkers. I'm an Extroverted person, so I think I could get along easily. I also joined some clubs at work. I'm in charge of the manager of the hiking club. Joining a club at work makes me feel a sense of belonging.

2. What are some common causes of personal conflicts at work? How can they be resolved?

That's because of the work. We have to work and resolve the problem together. We don't all have the same thoughts, and sometimes we need to persuade each other. Whenever this happens, we conflict together and resolve. But it's really not easy.

3. Who is your closest friend? How did you become so close?

I have three friends, we met in university at first.
We didn't get along at first, but we kept taking classes and were getting to spend more time together
We liked going to the karaoke and arcade. 
When we didn't have any classes, we went around great restaurants.
